Restaurant Spy is a site written by members of the general public, who go out to eat unannounced, pay for their own meals and submit reviews to us. We don't put up any old crap, though - our reviewers try to give a flavour of their eating experience. We do not post all reviews received. We are completely independent, not owned by any corporate group and like to tell it as it is. We have a message board for the "right-to-reply", because we don't always get it right, sometimes eat out on a chef's off day, or when he's sick (or drunk), so we're more than happy to rectify any mistakes.

Our site also features sound and video files to entertain and other articles about food. There are some book reviews too.

Its not slick as we like the DIY feel and we have a loyal and growing international readership.

We do not accept bribes, never ever write puff pieces, and sometimes get grumpy through no fault of our own. We can come and review your restaurant, if you have one, so contact us at m@restaurantspy.com if you would like one of our staff writers to attend.
