The Bewicke Arms is set in a gorgeous village in Leicestershire across from one of the prettiest village greens in the country. There's not much in the way of room inside but outside and to the back there is a luscious garden with a small children's play area and a small tea room and kids farm. The food here needn't be good but it is - chili concarne had actual juicy chunks of chuck steak rather than the anglified ground beef version and my gammon steak was enormous, genuine gammon ham (not one of those supermarket sculpted rounds) with a horde of crispy fries.

Walked into this terrific ultra modern vegetarian restaurant, specialising in Gujarati food completely on spec about 3 months ago and been back 3 more times since. personally I'm no veggy but like to try anything new. What first attracted my girlfriend and myself was the modern clean lines that can be seen from the shop window frontage. Inside is a haven of friendly speedy service, imaginatively presented food and a busy yet welcoming multicultural atmosphere.
